Day of giving from warehouse and industrial estate property owner SEGRO helps communities in Acton and Park Royal

Employees from industrial and warehouse property owner SEGRO in Acton and Park Royal have taken part in a Day of Giving by volunteering their time and taking part in local community projects.

SEGRO which owns the V-Park Grand Union in Park Royal and Acton Park Industrial Estate in Acton has been running the Day Of Giving since 2016.

The two local projects the company took part in were for the Canal & River Trust in Park Royal and for City Harvest in Acton Park.

Twenty people helped picking up litter and cleaning towpaths at Grand Union Canal for Canal & River Trust. Ten people helped City Harvest with the work it does in supplying food to those who need it by checking and sorting it and creating mixed meal and snack boxes for the charity to give out.

Neil Impiazzi, partnership development director at SEGRO said: “Our Day of Giving has been a key date in our community calendar since 2016 and the uptake from colleagues this year was brilliant.”

Mr Impiazzi added: “Over 60% of all UK employees got involved demonstrating that ‘giving back’ is very much part of our culture as employees can see the
positive impact their volunteering efforts can have on the lives of the local community. Investing in our local communities has been part of SEGRO’s DNA for over 100 years. We will continue to work with our charity partners to better understand local needs to enable our communities to thrive.”
