Two train stations in Ealing have made it to the top 5 of least used stations in London according to data from the Office of Rail and Road.
While Waterloo had 41.4 million entries and exits between April 2021 and March 2022, Drayton Green managed just 10,846 while South Greenford recorded just 13,462. Only Heathrow Terminal 4 kept them off the bottom as it was closed throughout the time period.
Ealing Broadway remains Ealing’s most popular station with 4,768,812 entries and exits. Southall at 2,755,662 and Acton Central at 1,332,790 are the only other stations topping one million entries and exits in Ealing.
Feras Alshaker, director of planning and performance at the Office of Rail and Road said: “It is heartening to see passengers return to travelling by rail following what was a difficult period for the industry during the pandemic. There’s still some way to go in order for station usage figures to return to pre-pandemic levels. Once again it is important to thank all those in the rail industry, who continue to work hard to help people travel safely and with confidence.”
