Ealing Central Library located at Ealing Broadway shopping centre remains closed following an outbreak of bed bugs.
The library had said it planned to be open today (2 November 2023) following the closing of it earlier this week but despite treatment to the library, bosses have decided to keep it shut.
In a posting on Facebook and on X (previously known as Twitter), the library said:
“Bed bug update Thursday 2 November
“Unfortunately, we aren’t ready to reopen Ealing Central Library today as planned.
“We are keeping the library closed on the advice of professional pest controllers who are still working hard with us to treat the bugs and give the library a top to bottom deep clean.
“We will reopen the library when we are happy that the bugs have been treated
“We apologise for any inconvenience this situation may cause and thank residents and library staff for their understanding.”
