Ealing Foodbank, which helps residents across Ealing with food and other household essentials, has released its September 2023 list of items that is most needed to help others.
In a message to supporters, it also revealed that August 2023 saw a massive rise over the previous year in people needing its service.
Ealing Foodbank said on X (formerly Twitter): “August 2023 was another record breaking month! 4,557 people served, an increase of 66% from last August. Thank you for your support and generosity; we couldn’t do it without you”.
According to the organisation which is part of The Trussell Trust there’s much need for nappies along with donations of the following items to help people in the borough:
BREAKFAST CEREALS (no porridge needed)
SWEET AND SAVOURY BISCUITS
NAPPIES (SIZES 4, 5 & 6)
RICE (500G PACKETS)
UHT MILK – WHOLE OR SEMI-SKIMMED
MAYO, KETCHUP & BROWN SAUCE
TINNED RICE PUDDING AND CUSTARD
LONG LIFE FRUIT JUICE & SQUASH
DRINKING CHOCOLATE
CHICKPEAS & KIDNEY BEANS
Anyone who can offer food, can donate it at many points across Ealing as shown below
