The London Borough of Ealing is now London’s third largest with 367,100 people living across our 7 towns, new data released today (28 June 2022) from the 2021 Census has been revealed by the Office of National Statistics.
Only Barnet (389,300) and Croydon (390,800) have larger populations.
Ealing has grown to 367,100 people living in the borough from 338,449 in 2011, a rise of 8.5% and the total number of households in now 133,700 a rise from 124,082 in 2011.
Of the 367,100 population, 186,000 are female.
In terms of age groups, around 18.3% (67,300) are under 15 years old, 69.5% (255,200) are 15-64 and 12.1% (44,500) are over 65 year old.
More data from the census will be released in October 2022 which will also cover ethnic group, national identity, language, religion as well as education, housing, work, sexual orientation and gender identity.
