It was a mainly sunny day for Ealing as residents across the borough’s seven towns of Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall came together to hold street parties today (7 May 2023) to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
EALING.NEWS visited a number of street parties across the borough in Hanwell and West Ealing and found that the party mood was in full effect with plenty of food, drinks and music to enjoy on Sunday.

To help residents organise a street party for King Charles III Coronation, Ealing Council like many other councils removed the fee to close roads. It has also offered up to £150 per street for organising a party. While, not all local councils are offering any contribution towards putting on a street party, neighbouring borough Hounslow offered up to £500 per street for a party in its borough.
