Ealing residents get recognised for their contribution to community and society in The Queen’s honours list

At least three Ealing residents have been recognised for their contribution to society in The Queen’s birthday honours list.

For services to the community in the London Borough of Ealing, 88-year-old Ella Marks received an MBE.  Ella has held a number of roles across a range of organisations from being president of the League of Jewish Woman, to chair of Ealing U3A and a volunteer with Ealing Talking Newspapers. Ella is also a member of Ealing Synagogue.

“I was amazed to be awarded the MBE, and absolutely delighted. I love being part of the multi-cultural community in Ealing and greatly enjoy supporting people and organisations in the borough,” Ella told Jewish News.

Also receiving an MBE for services to Apprenticeships and Skills Training was Barjinderpall Lall from Greenford who works as Head of Skills for JGA Group.

For services to Homeless People and the community in Hanwell, Gail Tchiprout, who is also a member of Ealing Synagogue, got a British Empire Medal for her volunteer work which includes working as a chef for Ealing Soup Kitchen.
