Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Southall, Hayes and Ealing fire stations were called out and tackled a fire at a house on Scotts Road in Southall yesterday (16 October 2022).
A lean-to located at the end of the semi-detached house was destroyed by fire as well as half of the ground floor was also damaged by the blaze. The first floor and the loft conversion were also damaged by smoke.
A next door property also had damage caused by the fire to its soffit and fascia.
According to the fire brigade, one man was treated by paramedics at the scene and two other men left the house before they arrived.
A gas cylinder involved in the fire was cooled to as a precaution, as some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.
The Brigade was called at 1.20pm and the fire was under control by 2.30pm. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
