Full list of street parties where residents across Ealing and its 7 towns will celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III

Residents across Ealing’s seven towns of Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall are set to join the nation from 6 May 2023 to 8 May 2023 with street parties to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.

To help residents organise a street party for King Charles III Coronation, Ealing Council like many other councils removed the fee to close roads. It has also offered up to £150 per street for organising a party. While, not all local councils are offering any contribution towards putting on a street party, neighbouring borough Hounslow offered up to £500 per street for a party in its borough.

View the full list below of street parties taking place on May 6, May 7 and May 8 2023 and the road closures that will be in place.

As well as the street parties, a series of special events for all ages will be taking place at Walpole Park, Acton and Northala Fields.

On the day itself of the coronation on 6 May 2023 from 10.30am to 10pm, Walpole Park will be screening the coronation and partake in a variety of food and drink as well as a kids funfair and a grand finale with fireworks.

There will also be live musical performances from a variety of artists and performers including Shir (a mixture of Jewish, Middle Eastern and Klezmer Music), Ealing Rock Choir, Latino artist Rene Alvarez and his band, and Southall’s Nishi Malhotra leading her group.

Admission is free but tickets needed to be reserved in advance and have now all been taken.

Also on the same day, events will be happening in Acton and Northolt. At Acton Park and Northala Fields, between 6pm and 10pm there will be food and drink as well as fireworks for residents to enjoy.

Ealing Council leader, Councillor Peter Mason said: “The King’s coronation will be a special moment, and a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together. Communities had such a wonderful time celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee last year. I hope you will take advantage of the chance to do so again this year to mark this historic event.”
