A new Lidl supermarket in East Acton that has created 40 new jobs has been opened by Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Mohinder Midha.
Joining the Mayor in attending the early morning ribbon cutting was Deputy Mayor Councillor Hitesh Tailor and his consort Councillor Grace Quansah. The supermarket chain now has 7 branches across Ealing including West Ealing, Acton, Hanwell, Greenford, Northolt and Southall.

The new branch is located on Western Avenue and offers a wide range of products including an in-store bakery as well as customer toilets and free parking.
Store opening times are 7am – 11pm Monday to Saturday and 11am – 5pm on Sunday.
Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, Mike Devine, commented: “It is fantastic that we are able to open our doors and welcome everyone into our new store in East Acton. We have received overwhelming support from local residents, and we would like to thank all those who have played a part in delivering this new store. We now look forward to serving our multi-award winning products to everyone within the local community.”
