Local community invited to share their thoughts on new Old Oak West

Two drop-in events for the local community to have their views heard on Old Oak West which contains the new Old Oak Common station as well as land in Willesden Junction and North Acton is taking place later this month.

The Mayor of London’s development corporation for Old Oak and Park Royal, OPDC has said of hosting these events: “have provided an opportunity for OPDC to listen to local people’s views and work with diverse communities in Old Oak and Park Royal to jointly create a new urban district that truly reflects local needs and aspirations.”

David Lunts, CEO of OPDC said: “We’d like to thank everyone who has met and engaged with us so far, it has been great to meet so many members of the local community and have the opportunity to discuss the future of Old Oak West.”

Mr Lunts added: “With the new High Speed 2 station at Old Oak Common arriving in the next decade we have the opportunity to create an exciting, inclusive and welcoming new urban district and we want everyone to share their insights and ideas to help shape the upcoming regeneration, so it truly reflects local needs. We will be taking on board your views and aspirations for the area and look forward to working in partnership with local people to create a joint vision for Old Oak West.”

The two events taking place:

Tuesday 20th June: drop-in any time between 1–4pm
The Lab – Oaklands Community Centre, Oaklands Rise, NW10 6FJ

Wednesday 21st June: drop-in any time between 5–8pm
The Lab – Oaklands Community Centre, Oaklands Rise, NW10 6FJ
