Following last year’s inaugural Young Ealing Foundation Awards, which celebrates and recognises young people in Ealing and those who support them, nominations are now open for the 2023 awards.
Organised by Young Ealing Foundation (YEF), the Young Ealing Foundation Awards on July 6 2023 will bring the local community together to recognise and celebrate the borough’s young people and those who support them.

Nominations can be made online until April 2 2023 and there are 14 awards being split across two categories. The first one is for young people under 25 and the second is for groups, organisations, projects and individuals who support children and young people.
According to YEF for those under 25: “The focus for these awards is on children and young people’s individual journeys, and how they have had an impact on others, whether friends, family, peers of professionals working with them. These awards can be for individuals or small groups and recognise leadership skills.”
The under 25 award categories are: Mental Health Champion of the Year, Young Activist of the Year, Young Creative Leader of the Year, Young Sports Leader of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year and Overcoming Adversity.
For those supporting young people the awards are: Employability Project of the Year, Mental Wellbeing Project of the Year, Physical Wellbeing Project of the Year, Creative Project of the Year, Education Project of the Year, disability Project of the Year and Youth Professional of the Year.
YEF said of this category: “These categories are for organisations who have delivered projects or core services benefiting children and young people aged 0-25 in the London Borough of Ealing. They can be projects targeting specific groups, or services available to any children and young people.”
