Northolt’s famously spooky Haunted House attraction has once again proven to be a Halloween hit – drawing crowds despite rain and wind last Friday (31 October 2025), and raising £500 for Meadow House Hospice.
The Haunted House on Kempton Avenue, UB5 4HF has become something of a Northolt tradition. Created by residents Jason and Lisa Cole, the attraction transforms their family home into a walk-through fright fest that draws hundreds of visitors each year and raises money for charity.
As in previous years, proceeds go to Meadow House Hospice in Ealing, in memory of Mr Cole’s mother, who died in 2023 after a six-year battle with cancer.
The community-run event, organised by the Coles, featured torchlit corridors, live actors, animatronics and special effects.
The event opened with The Hillingdon Theatre Dance Centre performing a mob dance to the Cole’s theme tune ‘House on Kempton Avenue’.
Stalls added to the lively atmosphere, including psychic readings by The Premature Medium, jewellery by Danamara, and children’s face painting by Maggie. Local station Radio Harrow joined in, while the Haunted House’s resident “Candy Witch” ensured everyone left with a treat.
Jason and Lisa thanked horror supplier Mad About Horror for donating props, live actor Andi Nerve for performing and doorman Gary.
With this year’s haunt now “dismembered for another year”, the couple are already turning their attention from ghosts to glitter. Construction has begun on their next community event – Santa’s Meet and Greet Wonderland – a festive experience running on 20 and 21 December 2025 from 4.30pm to 8.30pm.
Tickets are £7.50 (with small gift) or £6 (without) per child and can be booked by emailing northoltsanta@gmail.com
