ParkPlay comes to Southall’s The Green Quarter

The 50th ParkPlay in the country which provides a weekly opportunity for people of all ages and abilities across the community to meet, move and play has opened at Berkeley’s The Green Quarter.

This is the third ParkPlay to be offered in Southall and provides a one-hour session every Saturday at midday for locals to enjoy taking part at The Field, The Green Quarter (UB1 1FR).

Rick Jenner, CEO of ParkPlay, comments: “After a stressful, busy week, lots of people enjoy playing and meeting up with their friends and neighbours at ParkPlay. It is an activity that connects people and helps build communities.”

Mr Jenner added: “ParkPlay is tackling some of the most pressing social issues of our time – lack of exercise, isolation, mental health and need for escape. As we recover from Covid and now face the cost of living crisis, it’s never been more important to give communities free ways to connect and boost their wellbeing.”

Jags Sanghera, head of community engagement at Berkeley’s The Green Quarter commented: “We are honoured to host the 50th ParkPlay, offering an opportunity for our community to come together through games in the great outdoors. At The Green Quarter, we’re proud to have created a place filled with trees, plants and green space for people to enjoy and are proud of how much we have achieved so far, with a tree nursery, playspace, canalside paths and Central Gardens already open.”

Mr Sanghera added: “It was great welcoming locals and residents alike to our development for the launch and we look forward to offering them some respite from the hussle and bussle of everyday life in London each week.”
