Ealing Council is reminding residents with children who are in receipt of free school meals that its free holiday activities and food programme (HAF) will running during the Easter break. HAF, which has been running for several years, offers a range of activities for children to take part during term breaks
A range of programmes are taking place across Ealing over Easter and the spring break from learning about nutrition through to starting new hobbies as well as sporting activities including football, swimming and outdoor activities.
Councillor Kamaljit Nagpal, Ealing Council’s cabinet member for a fairer start said: “School holidays can be a real challenge – not only keeping children occupied but also having to do so with less available money. The HAF programme not only has amazing fun activities to take part in but all those attending will get a healthy lunch, and everything is free.”
The council says a number of venues across the borough will be hosting activities throughout the Easter break for four hours a day which is available to children and young people from reception to year 11 and who are in receipt of benefits related free school meals.
