The first ever awards to recognise the volunteering sector in Ealing will be taking place at the end of September and community groups across the borough have until 17 September 2023 to submit nominations.
The Ealing Volunteering Sector Awards 2023 aims to celebrate volunteering across the borough and its seven towns.
The awards are being organised by Ealing Community Network (ECN) who say: “We want to celebrate and recognise the contributions of people and groups making a difference to the Ealing Communities they serve; making a difference to peoples lives if they did not exist.”
The awards night will be taking place on 28 September 2023 at the Double Tree Hilton in Ealing Common and both individuals as well as groups of individuals can be nominated across a range of categories.
The eight categories are:
- Small charity, big impact
- Volunteer Team
- Charity Partnership
- Organisation Supporting Volunteers
- Corporate and Charity Partnership
- Organisation Demonstrating Commitment to their Service Users
- Charity Champion (Trustee, CEO, Volunteer, staff member, etc.)
- Lifetime Achievement
ECN added: “We are asking all faith, social enterprises and voluntary sector organisations based in Ealing and/or delivering services in Ealing to nominate themselves, a person or an organisation to recognise their contribution to the voluntary sector or a community in Ealing.”
