James Murray begins re-election campaign to win Ealing North

Ealing North Labour and Co-operative party MP James Murray has launched his re-election campaign to win a second term.

Ealing North has been represented by Mr Murray since 2019 when he was chosen to replace Stephen Pound who stood down after 22 years and won with a majority of 12,269 votes over the Conservatives.

Mr Murray launched the campaign outside his office in North Greenford on Saturday (1 June 2024) and spoke of his priorities for Ealing North which include dealing with anti-social behaviour, having more affordable housing and reducing NHS waiting times.

He told local supporters and activists: “it’s time to turn the page and change the government”.

He said: “I grew up and live in Ealing North. It was the honour of my life to be elected here in 2019 and I am proud to be standing for re-election on 4 July.

Mr Murray added: “Every day I meet people who are struggling to afford their mortgages or rents, who cannot get an NHS or dentist appointment, and who are worried about their children’s future. After 14 years of the Conservatives, it’s time to turn the page and change the government. Over the next five weeks I will be asking people across Ealing North for their support and, together, we can change our country.”
