Members of Ealing Liberal Democrats joined with locals in Southall on Saturday (10 August 2024) at an anti-racism rally outside Southall Town Hall.
Speaking at the event Humaira Sanders, Ealing Liberal Democrat member, said: “I am proud to have represented the Liberal Democrats and Lib Dem Campaign for Race Equality (LDCRE) at this important gathering to unite against racism. It’s important that we can show that a wide range of political opinion has united against racism.”
Ms Sanders added: “The steps we stood on of the Old Town Hall in Southall was powerful as that’s where the National Front walked into a meeting at the Town Hall on the day that Blair Peach was killed by police.”
