Everyone welcome to get active and be a sporting champion

Everyone Active, which provides sporting facilities for residents across Ealing has launched its latest Sporting Champions programme that offers athletes the opportunity to get free access to Everyone Active’s centres across the country.

Across Ealing, it’s facilities include:  Acton Centre, Brent Valley Golf Course and Fitness Centre, Dormers Wells Leisure Centre, Elthorne Sports Centre, Greenford Sports Centre, Northolt Leisure Centre, Perivale Park Golf Course, Perivale Park Athletics Track, Swift Road Outdoor Sports Centre and Twyford Sports Centre.

As in previous years, Olympic silver-medallist Colin Jackson will remain in his role as a Sporting Champions Ambassador, working alongside the scheme’s elite athletes with the aim to make sport more accessible within local communities.

Colin said: “I’m proud to be involved in a scheme that is so dedicated to supporting athletic talent from grass roots up. I have watched the Sporting Champions scheme grow over the years and I’m so excited to continue working alongside a panel of truly talented Elite athletes to help mentor and support the next generation.”

Phil Edwards, Everyone Active’s contract manager said: “As a leisure provider working in partnership with Ealing Council, we feel it is important to cater for all sections of the community. We hope to continue making a real difference to our athletes’ success and are excited to see what this year will bring.”

Applicants can apply until March 13 2023.  Click here for more information.
