Hanwell Town Football Club welcomes Latimer as new sponsor

Local football team, Hanwell Town FC, who play in the Southern League – Premier South, has welcomed executives from developer Latimer which has entered into a long-term sponsorship deal with the Perivale-based club.

Last night (28 February 2023), Latimer, the development arm of not-for-profit Clarion Housing Group, came to see the home game in Perivale against Harrow Borough which was a 1-1 draw.

Across the borough, the housing provider has more than 7,000 residents. Among its developments, Latimer has built The Bowery in West Ealing and Union Walk at The Green Quarter and Junction West in Southall.

Richard Cook, group director of development at Clarion Housing Group said: “We’re proud to be sponsoring Hanwell Town FC. Aligning with our values, the club is accessible and has a glowing history of providing notable benefits to the local area. At Latimer, we’re passionate about supporting local people to achieve home ownership and this journey can begin at any stage of your career. With all players in this hugely successful semi-professional team juggling full-time jobs with their dedication to the club, they represent incredible commitment and something for young people to aspire to.”

As part of the sponsorship agreement, Latimer will have advertising in home match programmes and on the stadium’s digital screen and branding on the digital score board.

Elsa Jones, Marketing Manager at Hanwell Town FC, adds: “This new sponsorship with Latimer shows the progression we’re making off the field, as we push for notable partnerships that will support our growth. Our new ground facilitates significant brand partnerships like this and we plan to continue growing our fanbase and building on our impressive track-record.”

Mr Cook also revealed he has kept an eye on how Hanwell Town has been developing as a team: “I’ve followed Hanwell Town FC’s successes and the club’s youth team’s role in developing young players, which are both equally impressive. We know how important it is for young people to engage in physical activities and work together to develop their potential both on and off the pitch. The club’s continual advancement and innovation is indictive of our commitment to creating inclusive communities for people to thrive in.”
