Ealing Trailfinders Women has made Kate Zackary club captain for the new Premiership Women’s Rugby 2024/25 season.
Born in Kansas, USA, Zackary previously played for Exeter Chiefs. The back row made it to the Premiership Women’s Rugby finals with the South West England team in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
Zackary has also captained the USA women’s rugby team.
Zackary said of her appointment to club captain of Trailfinders Women: “It’s an honour to be named club captain for the 2024-25 season. Last year we found our momentum and set a strong foundation for the program. I’m excited to build on that energy, with the addition of some new faces, and push for even greater success this year in the PWR.”
Head Coach of Trailfinders Women, Barney Maddison, said: “Kate is a well respected player within our group and a natural born leader, that is why as coaching group we have picked her as our club captain. She will also have a great leadership group around her who will help and assist her in her role as the women’s club captain.”
