One of the USA’s most popular and successful American football teams, the Chicago Bears brought its Mini Monsters Clinics to Perivale on Monday (11 July 2022) as part of a UK tour with Selborne Primary School in Conway Crescent being the first in the country to experience it.
The clinics are aimed at both boys and girls between the ages of 7-12 and is a 90-minute session that focuses on the importance of hydration, healthy eating and physical activity and is part of a eight place city tour of the UK.
More than 100 children from across Ealing arrived at Selborne Primary School to take part and they also met a former Chicago Bears player, Johnny Knox, who helped to show what it is all about.
Bears’ Manager of Youth Football & Community Programs Gustavo Silva said of being in Ealing: “Today was fantastic. Seeing the children throw themselves into something new and having so much fun was great. Not only did they learn new skills but they learnt about hydration and healthy eating, which sets them up for life. We really had so much fun in Ealing and we hope to come back soon!”
