An organisation, supported by housing association giant A2Dominion, that helps to empower and inspire young people in Ealing has won a community organisation of the year award.
The AM Partnership Group was given the G15 Ethnicity in Housing Award for community organisation of the year in recognition of its work with young people from disadvantaged communities in London.
As a member of the G15 network of housing associations, A2Dominion nominated AM Partnership Group which has helped the group get funding from BBC 1xtra We Move Fund last year to launch a number of projects and will be undertaking more this year.
The new projects coming up will address challenges young black females aged 12 to 18 face by providing guidance, support and mentorship.
Alex King, director of AM Partnership Group said: “On behalf of AM Partnership Group, we are honoured to receive this award. As a small organisation, this recognition means a lot to us.”
Ms King added: “It not only validates our hard work but also propels our development, allowing us to make an even greater impact on the communities we serve. We are sincerely grateful to A2Dominion for nominating us and for their partnership in assisting those in need.”
