Chiswick youth get ready for new acitvities at Southfield Recreation Grounds

Chiswick-based W4 Youth has started to get ready for its forthcoming plans and activities that will be based at Ealing Council’s Southfield Recreation Grounds.

Equipment that will be used by young people is currently being unpacked into a portacabin. It will be used for the events taking place in the next few months that will run Tuesdays to Fridays from 4 to 8 pm.

Last month W4 Youth which is working on a joint venture proposal with Ealing Council to develop a youth and community centre in Southfield Recreation Ground, appointed local Councillor Gary Malcolm as a new trustee.

According the group, next steps include Ealing Council connecting the electricity supply.

Sally Chacatte, W4 Youth founder and chair said: “We are excited to move into our new home in Southfield Recreation Ground. Now to get the electricity hooked up and we’ll be ready to open our doors with lots of fun activities from 4-8pm Tuesdays to Fridays. We will update you when we have the timings of the first sessions confirmed.”
