Nominations still open for 2024 Young Ealing Foundation Awards

There’s still time to nominate someone for the third Young Ealing Foundation Awards (YEF Awards), which celebrates young people across the borough.

Organised by Young Ealing Foundation (YEF), the Young Ealing Foundation Awards take place on 19 September 2024 at Greenford Hall. The event brings the local community together to recognise and celebrate the borough’s young people and those who support them.

Nominations can be made online until 31 May 2024 and there are 14 awards split across two categories.  The first one is for young people under 25 and the second is for groups, organisations, projects and individuals who support children and young people in Ealing.

According to YEF for those under 25: “These awards recognise individual children and young people who have particularly stood out because of their achievements, whether it has been overcoming personal adversity, or using their voice and experience to support, inspire and empower others. T

The under 25 award categories are: Mental Health Champion of the Year, Young Activist of the Year,  Young Creative Leader of the Year, Young Sports Leader of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year and Overcoming Adversity Award.

For those supporting young people the awards are: Employability Project of the Year,  Mental Wellbeing Project of the Year, Physical Wellbeing Project of the Year, Creative Project of the Year,  Education Project of the Year,  Disability Project of the Year and Youth Professional of the Year.

YEF said of this category: “These categories are for organisations who have delivered projects or core services benefiting children and young people aged 0-25 in the London Borough of Ealing. They can be projects targeting specific groups, or services available to any children and young people.”
