More than 40 professionals from children and young people organisations and groups attended (19 July 2023) the first of a series of forums organised the Young Ealing Foundation to bring people together, network and learn from each other.
A packed room at The Pitzhanger Rickyard in Walpole Park saw attendees take part in speed networking where they told another person what they do. It was an opportunity to connect and explore how their knowledge and experience can be shared and be used for delivering services to help and support young people across Ealing.
Many exchanged brochures and leaflets of the work their organisation does in the borough. After speed networking, delegates were able to mingle and continue their conversations on how they can work together.
To enable the Young Ealing Foundation to offer this on a quarterly basis it has secured funding from Propel, which supports organisations to explore, develop and lead collaborative approaches to tackle some of London’s biggest challenges.
Elly Heaton, CEO Young Ealing Foundation said: “We know youth work has the power to transform young lives – but it relies on a workforce of skilled & supported youth workers. That’s why we’re so proud to receive funding through @PropelLondon to strengthen and invest in the great youth organisations we have across Ealing and North West London.”

Ms Heaton added: “Today was the first of our ‘Level Up Youth Work Children and Young People’s Forums’ and we were really excited about the conversations that were taking place. Youth workers are the unsung heroes of our community and we’re here to ensure they are supported.”
