Northolt’s Empower Arts is among a shortlist of UK children’s groups which organise youth activities up for an award in the 17th What’s On 4 Kids National Children’s Activities Awards taking place next month.
The annual awards were set up to showcase and celebrate the best children’s clubs, leaders, classes, volunteers and venues across the UK and are nominated and voted on by parents and carers.
Empower Arts run weekly educational and drama classes for ages 18months-12 years in Northolt as well as going into schools and nurseries around West London and lead holiday clubs and parties.
The awards will be held at Coombe Abbey Hotel near Coventry on 30 November 2023 and Empower Arts are one of the finalists in the Most Loved Music, Dance Or Performing Arts Activity category.
Taja Morgan from Northolt-based Empower Arts said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be a finalist with The What’s On 4 Kids award I want to say a massive thank you to our customers who have been supporting us from the beginning, we would not have gotten this if it was not for you.”
Ms Morgan added: “It warms my heart to know that our classes are making a difference to the lives of young people”.
