Chemist giant Boots has called time on its decades established Greenford Broadway branch which closes on Saturday (27 January 2024).
The move comes as the retailer revealed last year that it would be reducing the number of branches it operates by around 300 across the country which included branches in Acton and Northolt also calling it a day in 2023.
In November 2023, Boots said in its quarterly report of plans to close and consolidate branches: “Evolving the store estate in this way allows Boots to concentrate its team members where they are needed and focus investment more acutely in individual stores with the ambition of consistently delivering an excellent and reliable service in a fresh and up-to-date environment.”
Boots is advising customers that its nearest branch is located at the WestWay Cross Shopping Park in Greenford.
Another Boots branch in Northolt’s Oldfield Circus also recently shut down and was taken over by another chemist.
A branch of Boots in West Ealing currently remains open.
