New community event in Ealing to mark Armed Forces Day

Ealing Council is to mark Armed Forces Day with a new community event in the borough taking place at Ealing Green on 29 June 2024.

In a statement, the council said it is the first time such an event has been held and “will showcase the work of the armed forces and thank them for their contribution to the borough.”

The event will start at 12.30pm when the Armed Forces Day flag is raised and includes presentations of certificates by the Deputy Lieutenant Richard Kornicki. St Benedict’s School Combined Cadet Force will deliver a drumming performance.

Local Cadet groups will have stalls on the Green located in front of Pitzhanger Manor where they will be demonstrating their skills and inviting members of the public to try out.
