With this year’s Recycle Week taking place between 17 – 23 October 2022, Ealing Broadway is helping to play its part by letting customers of its shopping centre know more about recycling by promoting the work of its recycle partner, Love Not Landfill and Act For Ealing, the climate action community group.
Ealing Broadway has worked with Love Not Landfill since 2018 and allows local people to recycle old and unwanted clothes and has two collection banks to do this.
All types of clothes and textiles can be donated to the banks, including those that have been damaged. Once donated, clothes that can be reused are given to Good, a business who own and operate a variety of vintage shops across London.
Alongside their partnership with Love Not Landfill, Ealing Broadway has also partnered with Act for Ealing on a sustainable fashion mural competition. The mural aims to draw attention to sustainable fashion and how the local community can reduce their carbon footprint by avoiding fast fashion and choosing secondhand clothing items instead.Young people based in Ealing can submit their design ideas for a new mural which will be displayed in Ealing Broadway and entries close 11.59pm 23 October 2022.

By shining a spotlight on Love Not Landfill, and the work we do with Act for Ealing, we hope to drive awareness of the important work taking place locally.”
