Journey of the Magi comes to Haven Green Baptist Church

A Christmas themed production inspired by T.S  Eliot’s 43-line poem Journey of the Magi which features dance, theatre, song and poetry is to be performed at Haven Green Baptist Church in Ealing on 9 December 2022.

Produced by Springs Dance Company, Journey of the Magi is touring the country during the Advent season and is aimed at both children and adults.

It is described as “Inspired by the poem by T.S. Eliot, the performance helps audiences to reflect on not only the famous journey the wise men made following the star to Jesus, but also the journey each of us makes every year in preparing for Christmas Day.”

EALING.NEWS spoke to Rev Dave Roissetter, Minister, Haven Green Baptist Church to find out more.

Is this something you do every year and what excites you about bringing the show to Ealing?
We hold Christmas Carol Service each year, and indeed will be again this year, but wanted to do something different.  In these challenging times, we wanted to offer something to the community that would bring joy but also encourage personal reflection and bring focus back to the real meaning behind Christmas and the hope it brings

Is it a religious /evangelical show?
The performance is richly expressive of the Christian faith and values but it is relevant and entertaining for all.

How excited is Haven Green about hosting this production?
We are very much looking forward to hosting this production which comes so highly recommended and praised.  We hope to bring some much needed joy and laughter to our community.
