Creatives at all stages of their careers and living in Ealing, Brent and Fulham are being invited to take part in a paid-for opportunity to show their work in a new publication – The Old Oak West Ideas Book.
The book is being commissioned by the Mayor of London’s development corporation for West London, Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) and says the commission is open to artists, illustrators, designers, photographers and creatives at all stages of their education and career.
Artists will be paid £750 per contribution and OPDC says it is looking to looking to commission up to 10 pieces.
According to OPDC: “The Old Oak West Ideas Book will capture local people’s feedback, creative ideas, and perspectives on what the future of Old Oak West means to them.”
David Lunts, chief Executive OPDC said: “Through our extensive co-design programme held throughout 2023, we worked closely with the local community – listening to their views and exploring how we can jointly create a new urban district that truly reflects local needs and aspirations.”
Mr Lunts added: “The Old Oak West Ideas Book will enable us to create a vivid and exciting publication that translates what the local community has told us they want to see. We welcome applications from all artists, makers, and designers from across the area and look forward to working with the talented creative community to bring this exciting vision to life.”
The deadline for artists to make an application is 11.59pm on 18 February 2024. For more information and to apply, click here.
