Former Barclays Bank Southall Green branch site approved by Ealing Council for development to include 23 storey apartment building

Property developer Dominvs Group has had its planning application for a £35.5m redevelopment of 13-15 The Green in Southall approved by Ealing Council.

The site, previously home to Barclays Bank, was bought by Dominvs in 2019 and will be turned into 95 one and two-bedroom apartments in two buidings one of which will be 23 storeys high. 35% of the homes will be affordable housing including shared ownership and social rented homes.

Dominvs says the ground floor will be used for community space as well as commercial space and the 14th floor on the smaller building will serve as a roof top terrace.

Lee Saywack, executive director at Dominvs Group, said: “Since we acquired the site, we’ve worked closely with the London Borough of Ealing, the Greater London Authority and the local community, and so we’re pleased our plans to deliver 95 much-needed homes have received approval.”

Mr Saywack added: “Our plans will revitalise an underutilised site within walking distance of Southall station, create significant public realm improvements and deliver flexible amenity space on the ground floor for the benefit of residents and the wider community.”
