More food manufacturing for Park Royal and Acton

Two food manufacturers are expanding their production with new facilities in Park Royal and Acton located on sites owned by property company SERCO.

Crisp and snack manufacturer Kolak, part of Europe Snacks, is to grow its presence in Park Royal with a second factory in Premier Park.

Rikin Lakhani, managing director at Europe Snacks said: “This new space will enable our business to continue to grow and support our customers’ needs for the foreseeable future. The recent refurbishment undertaken by SEGRO is a key enabler for our sustainability journey to be net-zero carbon by 2030.”

SERCO also said a manufacturer of sushi, bentos and food-to-go is also growing its business with a new facility at its SERCO Park Westway in Acton. The new unit is in addition to four other sites it already leases in the same area from SEGRO.

Bonnie Minshull, head of London at SEGRO, said: “It is always special when customers retain and expand their operations with us. This is a great example of how we work closely with customers and go beyond a traditional relationship between the property owner and occupier to understand their requirements and provide the flexibility and scale to help drive their continued growth.”

Mr Minshull added: “We are proud of the refurbishment that we have delivered at Premier Park. The scheme follows the same specifications as Auriol Drive, Greenford, which was the first industrial refurbishment of this type in the world to achieve BREEAM Outstanding standard in sustainability.”
