Police are appealing for information after a 21-year-old woman was found by officers and said she was the victim of a sexual assault in a student accommodation building in North Acton.
On 5 February 2023 at 2.36am, Met Police and London Ambulance Service were called to The Costume Store in Victoria Road responding to reports of a fight and an injured woman.
They attended and located the woman with facial injuries who said that she had been the victim of a sexual assault. The woman was taken by London Ambulance Service to hospital where her injuries were assessed to be non-life threatening or changing.
According to the police, she remains under the care of specialist officers and a crime scene was opened but has now been closed.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault and has since been bailed.
On 6 February 2023, University of West London students living at The Costume Store in Victoria Road received an email. In the subject line, the email said “Incident” and advised students: “We have been informed of an incident that took place at The Costume Store over the weekend. Should you require any support please do not hesitate to contact the Welfare Team”.
EALING.NEWS spoke to Met Police who are asking if anyone has information to contact them. They said: “Any witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting reference 934/05FEB.
