Ealing Council is inviting residents across the borough to take part in a survey which it says will help the Council make proposals for “priorities for transport” in Ealing over the next two years.
The survey is now open and closes on 4 December 2022.
Councillor Peter Mason, leader of Ealing Council said: “We want to know what your priorities are for transport improvements in our amazing seven towns. Back in August we launched our draft Travel in Ealing Charter. The consultation on this is now closed and I’d like to say thank-you to everyone who got involved. This feedback is proving vital as we shape the final version of the Charter – which will act as a blueprint for the council to work alongside residents to deliver cleaner, sustainable active travel projects.”
Councillor Mason added: “Now, we are planning our major transport proposals for the next two years, and once again we want you to hear from you. We are running a short survey where you can tell us what is important to you – It could be anything from reducing congestion or improving public transport, to make it easier and safer to get around by walking or by cycling.”
In a number of replies following the announcement of the survey on twitter, residents responded to Councillor Mason. Among the suggestions were enforcement of cycling lanes, stopping drivers from parking on pavements and more electric charging points on street.
We’re asking you to help us decide what our transport priorities should be for the next two years:
🚌 bus priority?
🏫 schools streets?
🚝 station imrpovements?
🚲 cycle lanes?
🔒 secure strage?
⚡️electric charging?
🚦 junction improvements?

Councillor Deirdre Costigan, cabinet member for climate action said: “This survey is about gathering your views, which will help us form the guiding principles of what we will prioritise going forward. This could ideas like, completing the next phase of the Uxbridge Road cycle lane, improving facilities outside our upgraded Elizabeth line stations or developing community backed plans for the West Ealing liveable neighbourhood.”
