Carers Pathways event to help carers in Ealing find out how to get help for themselves

Information and help for people who are looking after relatives will be discussed at a drop-in event organised by Carers Pathway on Thursday (18 May 2023) in Acton at Sycamore Lodge, 1 Edgecote Close, W3 8PH from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

The event brings together a number of local charities and groups, Ealing Carers Hub, BeFriend, Dementia Concern, Southall Day Centre and Centre for Armenian info and advice and Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind (HFEH Mind). All groups will be presenting on the day.

According to Ealing Carers Hub, the Carers Pathways service is free and open to everyone living in Ealing caring for a family member, neighbour or friend who couldn’t manage without their support.

Sue Stockman, from Ealing Carers Hub said: “The event will be relevant for both local organisations supporting carers and people with health and support needs, and to carers themselves.”

Ms Stockman added: “Carers Pathways gives unpaid or family carers a regular short break for 2-4 hours each week whilst the person they care for is engaged in activity – either 1-2-1 befriending or attending a group activity in various community venues.”
