Ealing Community Transport recruiting more minibus drivers to help residents get around Ealing

Ealing Community Transport (ECT) is looking for more minibus drivers to join them and help Ealing residents with limited mobility to get around the borough.

ECT, which was established in 1979 and is based in Greenford, is recruiting minibus drivers to keep up with demand from residents needing its services across Ealing. According to a job description, a diverse range of passengers use the service which provides “door- to-door transport for vulnerable individuals, outings for care home residents, day trips for community groups and home-to-school transport for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).”

The organisation says there are a number of roles to be filled for its shifts which cover full-time, part-time, casual and weekends.  Pay is between £10 and £11.39 per hour with no previous experience required and training will be provided.

Trevor King, who changed careers to become an ECT minibus driver said: “I love meeting people, and knowing that what I am doing is making a difference to people’s lives. It’s not just about providing the transport, it’s about what you are giving back to the community.”
