Person dies after falling onto Hanger Lane Underground station Tube tracks

A person has died after falling onto Central line Tube tracks at Hanger Lane Underground station on Sunday afternoon (12 February 2023).

Emergency services were called at 1.40pm on to reports of a casualty on the tracks and a person was pronounced dead at the station.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.41pm today (12 February) to reports of an incident at Hanger Lane Underground Station. We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our hazardous area response team (HART). We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”

The Central Line was suspended between North Acton and Northolt during the afternoon but was reopened later.

It is understood that the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
