A new YouGov 2024 General Election poll has found voting intention for Labour in each of the three constituencies of Ealing has dropped in two weeks with Ealing Southall falling by 20%.
In the Ealing Southall constituency, Deirdre Costigan for Labour is predicted to win with 48.2% of the votes which is down from 60.6% – a 20% drop.
The Green Party has overtaken the Conservatives to become second with a predicted 15.8% of votes compared to 13.1% two weeks ago. Conservatives are now third at 12.5% of the vote.
Speaking to EALING.NEWS, Neil Reynolds, chair of Ealing Green Party and standing to be MP for Ealing Southall said: “This poll shows The Green Party’s message of real hope and real change continues gain ground.”
Mr Reynolds added: “Voters who want to stop privatisation of NHS services, action on poverty, meaningful action on climate change and air quality are coming to us in large numbers. The Tories are toast, in Ealing Southall the Green Party is the real alternative.”.
In Ealing Central and Acton, Labour’s Dr Rupa Huq is predicted to win with 56.5% of the votes down from 63.9% two weeks ago. The Liberal Democrats are now second with 15.2% overtaking Conservatives at 10.5% down from 14.1% two weeks ago.
Over at Ealing North, James Murray for Labour is predicted to win with 53.6% of the votes which is down from 57.3% two weeks ago. The Conservatives remain second at 14.3% down from 17.1% two weeks ago.
