Lajna Imaillah Southall, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s women’s organisation has celebrated its centenary with an event at Darus-Salaam Mosque in Southall.
To mark the occasion, an interfaith community event was held which was attended by Mayor of Ealing, Mohinder Midha; Feltham and Heston MP Seema Malhotra, Ealing Councillors Surinder Kaur, Seema Kumar and Jasbir Anand – member of Cabinet for thriving communities) and other faith leaders and dignitaries.
During the event, the recitation of the Holy Qur’an was presented with translation, there was an introduction of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and a presentation on Lajna Imaillah’s work both in the UK and globally was explained.
Guests and dignitaries attending commented on how they appreciated the work Lajna Imaillah does.
